Does living on history rich land sound appealing? Ricefields, located beside the Waccamaw River in Pawleys Island, SC, was once occupied by historic rice plantations. Ricefields consists of four home sites, the Estates, Charleston Commons, The Pines, and Mill Creek. Each community has something wonderful to offer. One can take a scenic stroll down River Walk witch takes you through the old rice plantations to the Waccamaw River. Upon becoming a resident of Ricefields, LALA, a group formed specifically for the purpose of encouraging friendships among residents, will welcome you to your new home. Tucked away inside the community is an ante-bellum African cemetery which has been identified as a historical site; the preservation of this site is currently being considered.
